🚨 Data Engineer | London Hybrid | £80k–£120k GBP
I’m working with a well-established, independently run alternative asset manager with 25+ years in the market and over $5bn AUM.
They operate across London, New York, Hong Kong, Geneva, Dubai, Singapore and the BVI, supporting institutional investors, private banks, family offices and HNWIs across hedge fund and private equity strategies.
They’re now hiring a Data Engineer to join a small, high-output engineering team building and running a proprietary cloud-native data platform.
This is not a “wait for a ticket” type of role.
You’ll work directly with stakeholders across operations, research and investment, getting under the skin of how data moves across the business, spotting inefficiencies, and fixing the things that slow people down.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
