Background
SR2 have been exclusively engaged by our consultancy client to support with 4 Data Engineering hires for an urgent upcoming programme. After recently securing Series B funding, they are growing quickly, and now is definitely the time to come aboard and join the journey!
You will be joining a highly-autonomous, delivery driven team to take a data platform from prototype to production ingesting real world data which feeds advanced AI capabilities.

The role
- Designing scalable data pipelines, and taking them through to production from prototype at scale.
- Build data foundations to enable AI Engineers to integrate models and agents.
- Implement secure, high-performance production code (Python) in a regulated setting.
- Provide technical mentorship to the wider team.
What you need
- Experience building distributed data pipelines at production scale, with understanding of where they break.
- Solid Python and software engineering fundamentals.
- Data modelling, schema design and data lineage/provenance.
- Experience with streaming systems (Kafka, Flink etc)
- Knowledge of Large-scale data processing and open table/Lakehouse technologies (Spark, Iceberg, Trino etc.)
- Knowledge Graphs/Graph DB Exposure. (optional)
