Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer London (Hybrid, 3 days per week on-site)

A senior, hands-on role for a data engineer ready to be the technical owner on a high-profile project within a global client portfolio.

We're partnering with one of the world's largest marketing and media groups, working across the data that powers reporting and intelligence for some of the biggest brands on the planet. The remit spans regional and global clients, with the scale, variety and pace that only a network of this size brings.

This is a Senior Data Engineer role within a wider data function, where you'll be the lead engineer on a specific, pre-designated project: the technical owner of its architecture, pipelines and standards. It's a genuine blend of hands-on build and technical leadership, with real influence over how data is engineered and used across the network.

The Role You'll be the key technical voice on the design of the data engineering product and architecture for your project, taking ownership from design through to delivery. You'll help shape the cloud infrastructure direction, drive best practice across pipelines and platforms, and partner with BI and client teams to build standardised solutions that scale across markets. There's a strong forward-looking element too, from exploring where AI fits into the engineering solutions to helping shape pitch content for new and existing clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
