Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing Data Architecture & Engineering team. The successful applicant will work alongside our architects and consultants to deliver high-quality data solutions to help our customers become more successful in delivering the insight to maximise and scale automated decision making.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer requirements and work collaboratively to design data solutions that deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Enable higher quality data to be created & managed in our customers' organisations.
- Develop high-quality data products utilising (primarily) cloud native patterns.
- Engineer cloud-based data lake patterns to connect and leverage organisational & external data.
- Provide technical support and guidance through prototyping, testing, build, and launch of data products.
- Contribute towards the creation of technical support and design documentation for data platforms and solutions.
- Contribute to continually refining our development standards and best practices.
About you
- Strong technical expertise & experience with legacy, on-prem technology (SQL Server + SSIS).
- Technical experience within Azure DevOps (CI/CD, Boards, etc) - Admin and User.
- Experience working in a Data Ops role, this may include PR review & Repo management, scheduling jobs, managing environments, bug fixes, performance tuning, and monitoring.
- Exposure & competent within cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and its requisite platform components, as well as monitoring, security, and governance configuration within the platform.
- Confident communicating complex ideas to both business and technical audiences.
- Take an active interest in emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Driven by delivering quality work, with a great eye for detail.
- Capable of working autonomously.

Knowledge and experience of the following would be advantageous:
- Hands-on experience and insight within Healthcare / NHS.
- Experience with Meditech EPR back-end schema and datasets; submission processes (CDS, HODF).
- MS Fabric certification, e.g. DP700.
