Senior Data Engineer

πŸ“ Oxfordshire | Hybrid | Competitive Salary + Benefits

Still spending your days maintaining pipelines someone else built? What if you could help shape the future of an enterprise data platform instead? We're working with an ambitious, growing organisation that's investing heavily in its data capability and looking for a Senior Data Engineer to become one of the key technical voices in that journey.

This isn't a role where you'll disappear into a large engineering function and spend years maintaining legacy processes.

You'll be joining at a point where your ideas, decisions and technical expertise will genuinely influence how the data platform evolves.

The Opportunity You'll work with modern technologies including Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and PySpark to build scalable data solutions that support decision-making across the organisation. From designing robust pipelines and integrations to influencing architecture and best practice, you'll have the freedom to build things properly and the backing to make meaningful improvements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
