Senior Data Engineer
Location: Remote (2 days a month in office)
Salary: £75,000 to £85,000 plus 10% bonus
An established UK insurtech is hiring a Senior Data Engineer into a growing data and AI function. Modern stack, real investment behind the platform, and plenty of ML and GenAI work coming through.
The role
You'll sit alongside data and AI engineers, scientists, analysts and architects, building and supporting data products, driving standards across the wider community, partnering with architects on data product designs, and supporting ML and GenAI infrastructure and workflows. A role for someone who wants to raise the bar as well as deliver.

Tech stack
- Databricks on AWS
- PySpark, Python, SQL
- Airflow
- Terraform
- Git, Jenkins
- Docker and Kubernetes (useful)
What we're looking for
- Strong hands on Databricks and PySpark experience (essential)
- Proven Python skills including Spark and Airflow
- Advanced SQL and end to end modelling experience
- Experience with both batch and real time integrations
- Comfortable with CI/CD, Git and IaC (Terraform ideally)
- Exposure to production GenAI (an advantage)
- Pride in raising engineering standards
