Senior Data Engineer
I'm delighted to partner with a boutique Data & AI consultancy looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer to join their talented team as they enjoy a period of growth.
This consultancy has a diverse customer base and a large pipeline of exciting projects. This role offers exposure to modern and innovative projects and AI tools, along with end-to-end ownership and real autonomy and freedom.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing scalable, resilient data platforms and robust ETL/ELT pipelines
- Partnering with clients to understand business requirements and deliver tailored data solutions
- Communicating complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders
- Building, optimising, and maintaining data ingestion processes from APIs, flat files, and SQL/NoSQL databases
- Implementing best practices for data modelling, governance, quality, and security
- Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members, supporting their technical development
- Fostering a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation

About You

- 5+ years of professional Data Engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of Dimensional Modelling
- Knowledge of Medallion Architecture
- Experience with Databricks or Fabric
- Proficient in Git and SQL
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Snowflake
- Knowledge of Apache Beam
- Exposure to the insurance/housing industries
