Required Qualifications & Experience
Technical & Project Skills
You must demonstrate:
- Multi-disciplinary experience in Data Management, Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Data Modelling, Data Quality, Data Integration, Data Analytics, Data Visualisation, Data Science, or Business Intelligence.
- Confidence in delivering data solutions using Databricks and optimising data pipelines with PySpark in Databricks environments.
- Proven Power BI expertise—building, publishing, and supporting dashboards and reports.
- Strong Python, SQL, and complex SQL query writing skills.
- Project experience with technologies like Tableau, Power BI, Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), or Snowflake, including Databricks integration.
- Experience managing data ingestion, transformation, and quality pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities under pressure.
- Technical and project leadership track record, including team management.
- Awareness of industry standards, regulations, and system developments.
- End-to-end project delivery expertise and familiarity with methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, DevOps, Testing).
- Hands-on DevOps and Infrastructure deployment (Azure, Databricks).

Ideally Suited By:

- SAS (SAS EG, SAS DI, SAS Viya) implementation.
- Knowledge of Relational Databases and Data Warehousing.
- Experience with Enterprise ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, Datastage, Alteryx).
- Hands-on exposure to Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Oracle, Pega, Salesforce.
- Multi-platform or cross-platform approach capability.
- Financial services sector experience.
- Line management and mentoring.
- Staff development alongside leadership experience.
Qualifications & Availability
You must meet the following:
- Willingness to work at client sites for extended periods.
- Preparedness to travel for work, potentially staying away frequently.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction.
