The team creates and maintains securities, issuers, accounts, and benchmarks that power the systems supporting investment operations across the organisation. This work enables Investment teams, Trade Operations, Fund Operations, Performance, and other stakeholders to execute trades, onboard clients, report performance, and advance GAM-wide strategic initiatives with confidence.
As a Senior Data Management Analyst, you'll play a critical role in maintaining data accuracy, driving process improvements, and acting as a trusted liaison between business and technology teams. You'll oversee key data operations workflows, support strategic implementations, and bring both technical depth and asset management expertise to solve complex data challenges.
This role requires someone who can take ownership, think strategically, and elevate the team's capability through mentorship and proactive stakeholder engagement.
Should you be shortlisted, do please let us know if you have any specific requirements for the interview.
This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days in the 100 Bishopsgate, London office.
What will you do?
- Oversee and optimise Data Operations business processes to ensure deliverables meet timelines, quality standards, and productivity targets
- Maintain and enrich RBC Global Asset Management's data warehouse, including security classification, analytics, and reference data across all investment groups
- Collaborate across the organisation to understand enterprise data needs, and translate business requirements into actionable data requirements
- Analyse data procedures and processes to identify inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and drive meaningful process improvements that challenge the status quo
- Support short- to mid-term project implementations and act as an operational subject matter expert on data operations principles and practices
- Develop toolsets and methods to improve data quality, availability, and standardisation across workflows
- Document business and technical processes to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity
- Build credibility with senior stakeholders through reliable delivery, clear insights, and proactive problem-solving—including representing the team at incident meetings and critical discussions
- Bridge communication between business and technology teams, making complex technical concepts accessible to diverse audiences
What do you need to succeed?

- Experience working in asset management or investment management data operations
- Understanding of financial instruments and how data flows through the investment management business
- Process improvement mindset: Willingness to constructively challenge current processes and champion meaningful change
- Ownership & execution: Takes initiative and drives projects forward with minimal oversight; operates independently and delivers results
- Stakeholder management: Builds credibility with different teams through clear insights and dependable delivery; comfortable representing the team in high-visibility situations
- Bridge-builder: Translates effectively between business and tech teams, making complex concepts accessible to non-technical stakeholders
- Team collaboration: Proactive communicator who brings positive energy, engages colleagues naturally, and fosters collaboration

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
