About the role

The Senior Data Management analyst will drive the evolution, adoption, and adherence to enterprise data standards and ownership across the organisation, supported by robust monitoring and oversight.

This role is central to embedding consistent ways of working across front end development, architecture, engineering, operations, and data & analytics teams—ensuring data is governed effectively throughout its lifecycle.

You’ll lead the next phase of HL's Data Ownership Framework, enabling clear accountability aligned to a product-led way of working, which effectively curates regulatory compliance, and trusted data for operational and strategic decision-making.

In your role, you will

  • Lead the rollout and ongoing evolution of the Data Ownership Framework, ensuring clear accountability across domains
  • Define, maintain, and enforce enterprise-wide data policies, standards, and governance controls
  • Embed governance practices into day-to-day ways of working across UX, engineering, architecture, operations, and data teams
  • Partner with architecture to define and govern single sources of truth and data flows across platforms
  • Run Data forums, maturity reviews, and control oversight processes, tracking risks and actions
  • Drive adoption and behavioural change through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement
  • Build data governance capability by coaching data owners, stewards, and delivery teams
  • Oversee metadata, definitions, and classifications to ensure clarity, consistency, and usability across the organisation
  • Actively support data remediation by driving cross-functional collaboration and data discipline to reduce risk and drive the business strategy
