Department Overview
Founded in 2024, Market Oversight Data & Intelligence (MODI) empowers data-driven regulation by delivering intelligent, analytical, and technical capabilities for UK markets. The Market Oversight Registers Team (MORT) ensures accuracy in key datasets like the Official List of Securities and the National Storage Mechanism, supporting market transparency and consumer trust.
Role Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategic Projects
- Champion data quality improvements across external market registers, ensuring completeness and accessibility.
- Act as business product owner for the National Storage Mechanism, liaising with internal teams to optimise processes and resilience.
- Drive transparency projects underpinnings future plans while collaborating with tech and change teams.
- Craft a revolutionary medium-term strategy to enhance market transparency via data solutions.
- Develop and execute an informative internal/external communications plan, gathering user feedback.

Person Specification
Minimum Requirements
- Experience building/validating data (e.g., via SQL queries).
- Demonstrated track record leading technological change or innovation.
- Financial markets regulation fundamentals: Basic exposure with willingness to learn.
