Senior Data Manager / Lead
Role: Senior Data Manager / Lead Location: London (Hybrid) Compensation: £115,000 P/A (FTC)
About the Role We’re seeking an experienced technology leader to take ownership of a critical enterprise data capability. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity, combining strategic platform oversight, engineering excellence, operational leadership, and senior stakeholder engagement.
In this role, you’ll shape the future of a major data ecosystem while leading high-performing teams responsible for delivering reliable, scalable, and business-critical platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the long-term strategy for enterprise data platforms, balancing innovation, resilience, and business value.
- Lead multi-disciplinary engineering and delivery teams, driving operational excellence, platform reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee large-scale technology programmes, ensuring successful delivery through effective governance, planning, and stakeholder management.
- Partner with senior business and technology leaders to influence investment decisions, platform roadmaps, and organisational data strategy.

Requirements
As the right candidate, you’ll need:
- Significant experience leading data, platform, or technology functions within a complex enterprise environment.
- Direct experience with Big Data technologies, particularly Databricks, in a data lake environment.
- A strong background in:
- Data platforms
- Cloud technologies
- Engineering leadership
- Operational management
- A proven track record in:
- Delivering large-scale transformation programmes
- Managing senior stakeholder relationships
- Experience in:
- Owning budgets
- Managing vendor relationships
- Building high-performing teams with a focus on continuous improvement
