Senior Data Modeller

Job Title: Senior Data Modeller

Location: London/Northampton

Role Overview

This role focuses on internal audit, remediation, and closure validation, ensuring that all audit findings are thoroughly addressed, documented, and signed off with robust evidence. It is a governance-heavy and documentation-intensive role, differing significantly from business analysis (BA) or migration roles.

Hybrid Working: The role involves a blended work model with varying locations, including company offices, client sites, and remote working (though not exclusively from home).


Your Role

Internal Audit & Remediation

  • Core Responsibilities:
    • Hands-on involvement in:
      • Management of audit findings
      • Execution of remediation actions
      • Validation of fixes
    • Ensure:
      • Issues are properly addressed
      • Actions are effective and sustainable

Closure Pack Expertise (Critical Area)

Key tasks include creating or reviewing closure packs, which must:

  • Provide clear explanations of original issues
  • Document detailed remediation actions
  • Show how actions mitigate risk
  • Include evidence proving:
    • Implementation of fixes
    • Embedded control mechanisms (beyond one-time solutions)

This skill is core to this role.

Evidence Gathering & Validation

  • Collect and assess:
    • Documentation
    • Screenshots
    • Process proofs
  • Ensure evidence is audit-compliant, complete, and defensible.

Section 166 Program Experience (Big Advantage)

  • Leverages exposure to regulatory reviews (e.g., UK FCA Section 166)
  • Focus areas:
    • Remediation documentation
    • Closure justification
