What you’ll do
Group Data & Analytics drives the overall Vodafone Data Strategy and is implementing various initiatives to transform the ways of working within the team and in all of Vodafone on the journey to become a fully digitised and data-driven company.
The Data Management Risk Programme has been put in place to take Vodafone’s exposure to this risk into tolerance levels. The programme is composed of multiple projects and initiatives, involving the Privacy, Cyber Security, Corporate Security, Data Governance and other business areas.
The role owner will oversee the multiple projects under the Data Management Risk Programme, set goals, tasks, timelines, review progress, and adjust as necessary. The role will also be responsible for leading the long-term adoption of Data Management Risk Councils and Working Groups in Local Markets; as well as providing advice to decision makers and stakeholders steering the priorities of Data Management Risk activities.
The role owner will need to ensure that the compliance requirements are embedded in all implementation programmes. The role will therefore include working with very senior stakeholders on director level in functions in both Vodafone Group Services and in local markets of all business areas on a regular basis.
To perform the role, the following capabilities and background is expected:
- Strong ability to co-ordinate between and to push various functions such as Data Privacy / Cyber Security/ Data Compliance / IT and local market teams to achieve the agreed project timelines.
- Creation and implementation of an Issue & Remediation tracking mechanism and ongoing Compliance Maintenance across product / solution lifecycles.
- Ideally a background in Risk and Compliance Management Processes involving security and privacy aspects.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Strategy/Roadmap: Lead the design of common mechanisms to plan, track and report the Data Management Risk Programme roadmap and strategy.
- Implementation/Management: Leading project managers to achieve specified outcomes.
- Programme delivery: Ensuring that programme goals are met within the specified timeline and budget.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Consolidate status reports across projects to manage the programme performance indicators and operational risks.
Who you are
- Business or Technical Degree with complementary skill in both areas
- Proven experience in running large and complex corporate programmes.
- Proven qualification to work in an Agile Methodology (desirable)
- Profound understanding of data management concepts and activities
- Strong ability to co-ordinate between various function towards a common goal working in a matrix environment. Able to influence and motivate peers.
- Familiarity with complex organisational structures involved in data management (customer and suppliers’ operations, compliance teams, business teams)
- An analytical orientation and strong problem-solving skills and the ability to structure an issue and propose solutions.
- Excellent communication/presentational skills, including the ability to produce high quality written documents.
