JOB- Senior Data Scientist
LOCATION- London (Hybrid)
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £85,000 to £95,000 per annum

We are partnering with a highly regarded, technology-driven organisation that is investing heavily in data, machine learning, and AI capabilities. As part of this growth, we are looking to appoint a Senior Data Scientist to play a key role in developing predictive models, delivering commercial insights, and helping shape the future direction of the data science function.
We are looking to hire a Senior Data Scientist to work on large-scale, complex datasets within a business where data-driven decision making sits at the heart of strategy. You will partner closely with stakeholders across the organisation, taking ownership of projects from initial problem definition through to model deployment and performance monitoring.
The Senior Data Scientist MUST have:
- Several years of hands-on Data Science experience within a commercial environment
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Experience developing and deploying machine learning models into production environments
- Excellent understanding of statistical modelling, experimentation, and model evaluation
- Strong feature engineering and exploratory data analysis capabilities
- Experience communicating technical findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders
- A degree qualification (BSc, MSc, PhD etc.) in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a similar quantitative discipline

The Senior Data Scientist will ideally have the following attributes:
- Experience working with large-scale transactional, behavioural, or operational datasets
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Knowledge of MLOps, model monitoring, and deployment frameworks
- Exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or modern AI workflows
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate business challenges into analytical solutions
- Experience influencing stakeholders and supporting strategic decision-making
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a passion for data and innovation

The Senior Data Scientist role will involve:
- Developing and deploying machine learning models to solve real-world business challenges
- Performing exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model development, and evaluation
- Building forecasting, classification, segmentation, and predictive modelling solutions
- Designing and executing statistical analyses and experiments to support strategic decision-making
- Translating complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Working closely with engineering and business teams to productionise data science solutions
- Contributing to best practices across model governance, monitoring, and deployment
- Supporting the adoption of modern AI and machine learning techniques where appropriate
