Senior Data Scientist (Generative AI & Enterprise Analytics)
Salary: £80,000 per annum
Location: Glasgow office (hybrid)
Position Type: Full-time
About the Opportunity
Are you a seasoned Data Scientist who wants to move beyond traditional dashboards and shape the future of conversational, AI-driven business intelligence?
We are a global enterprise looking for a senior technical expert to lead a pivotal internal transformation. We are intentionally at the beginning of this journey and need your external expertise to help us co-create scalable, AI-enabled insight solutions. You will sit at the intersection of data science, semantic modelling, and applied AI, transforming complex enterprise data into trusted, natural-language experiences for executive-level leadership.
This role isn't about building experimental AI demos without guardrails. It is about creating trusted, enterprise-grade conversational insights where accuracy, clarity, and traceability matter more than novelty.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Model Optimization: Partner with BI developers to optimize semantic models, metrics, and business logic for AI-readiness.
- Capability & Strategy: Act as the trusted technical expert within the team, sharing emerging best practices, defining guardrails for responsible AI, and coaching analysts on conversational analytics principles.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with executive-level leaders to understand their decision-making needs and translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-oriented language.
