As a Senior Data Scientist in the Public Services unit, you will lead project teams to build bespoke AI solutions for departments like the NHS and HMRC. You’ll bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world deployment, designing robust software architectures and mentoring colleagues to improve outcomes for millions of citizens.

What You Will Do
- Lead high-impact project teams to deliver bespoke algorithms and high-stakes AI solutions to various public sector clients.
- Conceive core data science approaches and design robust software architectures for new engagements while ensuring rigorous technical delivery.
- Partner with commercial teams to shape project scope and build deep relationships with senior stakeholders in government departments.
The ideal candidate
- Proven expertise in Python (NumPy, Pandas) and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, with a strong background in professional data science.
- Prior experience in consulting or working within UK government departments such as HMRC, DWP, or DSIT to translate complex problems into mathematical frameworks.
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC) and demonstrated experience in leading technical teams, mentoring junior scientists, and managing delivery timelines.
