Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy and innovative team, playing a key role in designing, implementing and supporting Oracle database solutions. You will help deliver secure, high-performing databases that meet business and application needs, while working closely with development teams to optimize applications and ensure reliable, efficient database services.

What You Will Be Doing
- Define, create and install, maintain and upgrade department and or enterprise databases within a variety of computing environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain databases, including job control language, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, reorganization, protection, and statistical methods and size estimates of databases.
- Analyses, tests, and implements physical and logical database design supporting various business applications.
- Ensures that data recovery, maintenance, data integrity, and space requirements for physical database are met and plans and procedures are developed and followed.
- Reviews SQL coding for reusability, performance and stability within application design and support phase of projects.
- Administers databases across multiple platforms and computing environments at the business unit/group level.
- Maintains database support tools, database tables and dictionaries, recovery and backup procedures.
- Analyses and resolves issues related to information flow and content.
- Performs database monitoring and tuning, completes performance and tuning reviews.

What We Are Looking For
- Extensive work-related experience gained in a similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of administering Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving database issues.
- Extensive knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of database performance, availability, and security.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- First class problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
