Senior Databricks Technical Engineer
UK Wide (hybrid working)
£100,000 - £112,000 + bonus + perm benefits
Join a growing data engineering team delivering modern data solutions that help organisations turn complex data into meaningful business insights. As a Senior Databricks Technical Engineer, you'll design and build scalable data platforms, collaborate with stakeholders, and develop analytics solutions that drive better decision-making and operational performance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, build and maintain data pipelines using Databricks and SQL.
- Transform and curate data from multiple sources into high-quality datasets.
- Develop dashboards and visualisations that deliver actionable insights.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
- Ensure data quality, governance and security standards are met.
- Collaborate with technical teams to optimise platform performance, scalability and cost efficiency.
- Contribute to best practices, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in Databricks.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Knowledge of data lakehouse architectures and modern analytics platforms.
- Experience designing data models and supporting reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Understanding of data governance, security and data quality principles.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and Agile delivery experience.
