What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be responsible for sourcing, engaging and qualifying senior technology and business decision-makers to attend our events.
- You’ll take ownership of delegate acquisition across your assigned portfolio, ensuring we deliver both the quantity and quality of attendees required while consistently achieving personal targets and supporting the wider team.
- Managing and executing delegate acquisition campaigns across a minimum of three events per year, with a clear focus on technology and IT-led audiences.
- Researching, identifying and engaging senior IT, technology, digital transformation, cybersecurity, procurement and business leaders.
- Confidently speaking with C-suite and senior decision-makers by phone, email and social platforms to qualify their suitability for our events.
- Consistently hitting and exceeding KPIs across calls, new contacts, qualified bookings, attendance and cross-sell opportunities.
- Building strong pipelines of relevant delegates and maintaining regular contact before each event.
- Following up leads generated through email marketing campaigns, referrals, previous attendees and targeted research.
- Managing the full delegate acquisition process, including research, outreach, qualification, CRM updates, confirmations and event attendance.
- Maintaining accurate records through Engage and ensuring all delegate updates, notes and activity are captured clearly.
- Handling cancellations, objections and delegate queries professionally, escalating where appropriate.
- Identifying opportunities to improve audience quality, event positioning and delegate engagement across your portfolio.
- Working closely with the Event Manager, Delegate Portfolio Manager and Senior Management to provide updates, feedback and weekly sales reports.
- Leading by example within the delegate team, supporting best practice, training new team members and helping motivate colleagues around you.
- Acting as a senior point of support at live events, confidently representing the business and helping ensure smooth delegate delivery.
- Supporting portfolio development by sharing ideas, market insight, audience feedback and opportunities for future growth.

Who You Are
We’re looking for a confident, commercially minded delegate acquisition professional who understands how to engage senior audiences and convert interest into high-quality event attendance. Experience working events across IT, technology, digital transformation, cybersecurity, SaaS, business solutions or a similar B2B environment would be highly beneficial.

- Experienced in delegate acquisition, delegate sales, audience development, lead generation or B2B event recruitment.
- Confident speaking with senior decision-makers and able to position events clearly and persuasively.
- Comfortable working to targets, KPIs and deadlines in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Highly organised, with strong diary management, follow-up and CRM discipline.
- Able to research markets, identify relevant contacts and build high-quality delegate pipelines.
- Commercially aware, proactive and focused on delivering both numbers and audience quality.
- Positive, professional and able to motivate others while setting a strong example for the wider team.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, email, LinkedIn/social platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Reliable in relation to timekeeping, attendance, attitude, behaviour and performance standards.
