The Team
The London Market Delegated Authority Team is part of the London Market Underwriting Standards and Governance Team and supports Underwriters in delegating underwriting authority. Reporting to the Head of Delegated Authority, the team balances compliance and business needs to minimise regulatory and reputational risks. We facilitate new business relationships and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements by staying updated on regulatory changes.

The Role
This is a 12-month contract to provide Maternity Leave cover for the existing Senior DA Analyst. The role would suit an experienced DA Analyst, ready to take the next step in their career.
The purpose of the role is to support the smooth and effective running of the DA Processes at Hiscox. This includes overseeing and supporting the DA Analyst and DA Technician in fulfilling their duties, assisting with query resolution, monitoring all aspects of workflow, (including pre and post bind activities), approving contract endorsements, actioning Post Approval changes, reviewing DCOM entries, and conducting quarterly deep dive DA Controls reviews.
The role requires a deep understanding of Lloyd’s regulatory framework and Delegated Authority processes, combined with analytical skills and the ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
- Providing day to day support and guidance to the DA Analyst and Technician
- Providing absence / surge cover for the DA Analyst and Technician
- Assisting with query resolution
- Workflow Monitoring and Management
- Reviewing endorsements
- Processing Post Approval Changes
- Reviewing Lead DCOM entries
- Producing monthly and quarterly reports
- Conducting quarterly DA Controls Reviews
- Monitoring performance against Hiscox DA requirements, investigating instances of non-adherence, and reporting findings to the Head of DA
- Promoting Business engagement with DA Requirements
- Communicating with others to provide updates, gather feedback, or address concerns
- Continuously improving processes and practices
- Performing other ad-hoc duties as required

What does success look like?
- The DA Team meeting all service level agreements
- Maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Handling routine DA queries, escalating to the Head of DA if needed
The Candidate
We are seeking an ideal candidate who:

Must haves
- Experience in a technical delegated authority role within the Lloyd’s Market
- Practical experience conducting Lloyd’s Coverholder due diligence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Courage to ask questions to ensure understanding of requirements
