Senior Delivery Manager

Consultancy/ Public Sector

Hybrid - 1x a month in Manchester OR London

Rate: £400-450/ day Outside IR35

Contract length: initially 4 months with chance to extend


We're partnering with a fast-growing, digital consultancy to bring in a Senior Delivery Manager for a high-profile programme within the Government Digital Service (GDS).

The app spans five multidisciplinary teams, all working towards a major strategic leap over the next year as more core departmental services are brought into a more modern environment. You'll play a key role in keeping delivery on track through that growth.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading agile delivery across a multidisciplinary team (engineering, design, product, research)
  • Managing stakeholders, dependencies, and risks across a fast-moving GDS programme
  • Driving continuous improvement in team ways of working
  • Supporting the team through GDS service assessments and governance processes

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Manager on digital service delivery, ideally within central government or a GDS-aligned environment
  • Strong grounding in agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) within multidisciplinary teams
  • Confident stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences
