Senior Delivery Manager
Location: Central London – Hybrid. Onsite requirements can vary from one customer to another, between 1 to 3 days per week.
Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £70,000 - £100,000
SC Clearance Requirements:
Due to working with a number of government bodies, SC clearance is required for our customer facing teams. You do not need active SC clearance as we will undertake checks upon you joining, but you must be eligible to pass SC clearance.
Why you should join us
At Cloudscaler, you’ll be part of a consultancy at the forefront of cloud transformation, trusted by government, defence, and enterprise organisations to deliver complex AWS solutions that make a real national impact. From modernising public services to securing critical infrastructure, the work you do will matter far beyond technology.
We combine the agility of a startup with the credibility of an AWS Advanced Partner, creating a high-trust, high-performance culture where self-starters thrive and every voice is heard. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and cloud experts, shaping meaningful projects and driving innovation.
By joining us, you’ll accelerate your personal and professional development through hands-on experience with cutting-edge cloud solutions. You’ll learn directly from experts while contributing to some of the UK’s most ambitious cloud programmes, gaining exposure and influence you wouldn’t find in a larger consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the main delivery contact for clients. Manage expectations, report progress, escalate risks, and hold trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. Run cloud consulting engagements, keeping customers satisfied and outcomes on track. Lead Engineers, Architects, and Consultants. Keep work planned, prioritised, and moving using agile or hybrid methods. Own delivery artefacts: project plans, status reports, RAID logs, roadmaps, and governance packs. Where your expertise adds value, get involved directly in client deliverables such as migration planning, cloud operating model design, or service transition. Work with the Head of Delivery to manage capacity across engagements, flagging constraints and skills gaps early. Contribute to proposals, estimates, and scoping workshops when new engagements are being shaped. Run retrospectives, sprint reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with other Delivery Managers to standardise how Cloudscaler delivers, sharing best practice and building out delivery playbooks. When not on client engagements, contribute to practice development, Academy mentoring, or managed service delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Required Experience
You've ideally delivered large cloud, infrastructure, or DevOps programmes at enterprise scale; not just contributed to them, but driven them. You own the paperwork that matters: status reports, RAID logs, roadmaps, and governance frameworks that real stakeholders actually rely on. You can run a workshop, break down complex problems, and turn findings into clear written recommendations. Comfortable with senior stakeholders; steering committees, programme boards, and tough conversations about scope, time, or risk. You've worked in sectors like finance, government, defence, or healthcare, where compliance and security aren't afterthoughts. Critically, you are comfortable re-planning and pivoting mid-engagement when policy, risk appetite, or technical direction changes.
Required Behaviours
Cloudscaler’s values are central to how we work. We expect the following behaviours:

Get help with your application
Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Mastery: Curious and self-improving. You stay current with evolving delivery practices and are genuinely interested in the "why" behind technical decisions, understanding what a new AWS capability solves and how it affects your programmes. You don't need to be an engineer, but you cannot afford to be incurious. Integrity: You are transparent about delivery status; good and bad. You honour commitments to clients and colleagues. Community: You collaborate across disciplines and invest in others through mentoring and knowledge sharing. Trust: You build confidence through reliability, competence, and openness. Ownership: You treat client outcomes as your own. You see problems coming and act. Adaptability: You are comfortable switching between leading a delivery team and contributing directly to client deliverables. Consultancy life requires range.
