Job Title: Senior Design & Production Lead (Publications)
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Vienna, Geneva & Cape Town)
Contract Type: 6-month contract (view to perm)

About the role:
We're looking for a very senior design and production specialist to lead and oversee an entire publications work stream — c. 200 publications per year. This is a high-volume, high-stakes role that sits at the heart of how our client communicates globally.

What you'll be doing
- Head up the design and production function across all publications
- Manage both print PDF and HTML format content output
- Report on cost and expenditure to senior management
- Lead a team of in-house designers and external consultants
- Manage a network of suppliers, agencies, and freelance partners
- Maintain quality, consistency, and brand integrity across all formats
What we're looking for
- Substantial experience heading a design and production team in a:
- Media organisation
- Large international NGO
- Multilateral agency (or any combination of the above)
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end publication workflows at scale
- Strong financial acumen — reporting, budgeting, cost control
- Experience leading teams and managing external supplier/agency relationships
- Comfortable working remotely and travelling to Vienna, Geneva, and Cape Town for occasional workshops and meetings
