Key priorities:

  • Provide technical ownership and design support for the existing mechanical and electromechanical product portfolio, including sustaining engineering and lifecycle improvement activities.
  • Deliver practical engineering solutions that improve product performance, quality, cost, manufacturability, reliability, and customer experience.
  • Support product change, value engineering, corrective actions, customer-led improvements, and selected new product development projects where required.
  • Produce high-quality engineering documentation including calculations, test plans, reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and design practices.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for product queries, issue resolution, and engineering support relating to the current portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

Product Design & Development

  • Lead and support design activities across the existing product portfolio, including product updates, technical investigations, lifecycle improvements, and selected new product development projects.
  • Develop concepts, prototypes, design updates, and detailed solutions using sound engineering judgement and best practice.
  • Create and review engineering drawings, CAD models, bills of materials and technical specifications.
  • Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and testing to validate designs.
  • Support design reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring engineers.
  • Support problem solving across design, manufacturing, and customer applications.
  • Drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to engineering standards and best practice development.

Product Validation & Documentation

  • Develop test plans and validation activities for product changes, lifecycle improvements, customer requirements, and new product development where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate engineering records and technical documentation.
  • Support regulatory and quality requirements where applicable.
  • Assist with product change management and lifecycle activities.
