We are working with a leading fashion company who are working with a number of leading UK high street and supermarket retailers. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Girlswear Designer to take ownership of a key product area and play a pivotal role within their established design team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused and trend-driven designer with a strong girlswear background. Working across fashion-forward collections for major retail customers, you will be responsible for driving product direction, presenting directly to Buyers, and delivering commercially successful ranges. The role offers significant autonomy and would suit someone looking to step into a leadership position within a growing business.
Based in London this role offers hybrid working.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Designing trend-led girlswear and toddler collections.
- Leading the creative direction for key accounts and presenting ranges directly to customers.
- Researching and interpreting seasonal trends, colours, fabrics, graphics, embellishments, and silhouettes.
- Creating commercially relevant ranges tailored to individual retailer requirements.
- Building strong relationships with Buyers and customers, becoming a trusted design partner.
- Producing detailed CADs, technical packs, and design specifications.
- Managing product development from initial concept through to final sample approval.
- Working closely with merchandising, sales, production, and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of ranges.
- Collaborating with overseas suppliers and factories throughout the development process.
- Supporting, mentoring, and helping to develop junior members of the design team.
- Ensuring all collections are delivered in line with customer briefs, cost parameters, and critical path deadlines.

Person Specification:
- Proven experience within a Senior Girlswear Designer or established Girlswear Designer position.
- Strong experience designing trend-led childrenswear, with a particular focus on girlswear.
- Commercially minded with excellent trend forecasting and product development skills.
- Confident presenting ranges and building strong customer relationships.
- Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of a key category and drive it forward.
