Senior Designer | Medical Communications

UK Remote

We're partnering with an established healthcare communications agency to recruit a talented Senior Designer with experience creating engaging digital and print materials within the pharmaceutical, healthcare or medical communications sector.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where you'll work alongside medical writers, scientific directors, strategists and client services professionals to bring complex scientific content to life through compelling visual storytelling.

The successful candidate will combine strong creative skills with an understanding of healthcare communications, ensuring all work is visually engaging, scientifically accurate and compliant with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a wide range of healthcare communications materials across digital and print channels.
  • Transform complex scientific and clinical information into engaging visual content for healthcare professional and patient audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with medical writers, scientific directors, account teams and clients throughout the creative process.
  • Develop concepts, layouts, infographics, data visualisations and presentation materials that support strategic communication objectives.
  • Create interactive digital experiences for medical education, congresses and stakeholder engagement.
  • Produce production-ready artwork while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure all materials comply with brand guidelines, regulatory requirements and healthcare industry standards.
  • Support UX/UI initiatives for healthcare websites, digital platforms and online engagement tools.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality work within agreed timelines.
  • Keep up to date with emerging design trends, digital technologies and accessibility best practices.

  • 5+ years' professional design experience within healthcare communications, pharmaceutical, medical education or healthcare marketing
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating healthcare or medical communications work
  • Excellent visual design and layout skills
  • Experience interpreting scientific or medical content into engaging creative solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat), Figma and Microsoft PowerPoint

You'll be recognised for consistently delivering creative solutions that communicate complex scientific information clearly and effectively while balancing innovation with compliance. You'll build strong relationships with colleagues and clients, contribute fresh ideas, and take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery.
