About our company

Purpose of the role
To lead the design and development of innovative, commercially successful textile collections that strengthen Camira’s market-leading position. The Senior Designer combines creative vision, market insight and technical expertise to create inspiring, sustainable products that meet customer needs, enhance the Camira brand, and drive business growth.
The day to day
- To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements.
- Design and develop innovative woven textile collections, ranges and bespoke customer solutions.
- Research and interpret global trends, translating insights into commercially successful products.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Technical, Innovation, Sales and Marketing teams to deliver market-leading textiles.
- Support the creative direction of the Camira brand, ensuring products align with its aesthetic, values and sustainability goals.
- Present concepts, trends and product ideas to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Build relationships with customers, industry partners and design collaborators to identify new opportunities.
- Contribute to exhibitions, showrooms, customer workshops and industry events.
- Mentor junior team members and support continuous improvement across the Design & Development function.
- Ensure product development projects meet performance, quality, environmental and commercial requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records and uphold company health, safety and quality standards.

Other Considerations
- Textile-related degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong woven textile design experience and advanced CAD skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple development projects and deliver commercially successful products.
- Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills.
