Senior Node.js Developer | TypeScript | AWS | Serverless | Lambda | API Gateway | DynamoDB
We are supporting an innovative technology business looking to appoint a Senior Node.js Developer to join their growing platform engineering team. This is a senior position suited to someone with deep expertise across Node.js, TypeScript and AWS Serverless technologies, who enjoys taking ownership of projects from concept through to delivery.
You'll work within a highly collaborative engineering environment, building scalable cloud-native solutions that support large-scale digital products and services. The role offers genuine autonomy, technical ownership and the opportunity to influence both architecture and platform direction.
Full Time Permanent Role
London (Hybrid) - 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote

What You'll Be Doing
- Designing, building and delivering scalable backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript
- Developing and maintaining REST APIs and serverless services
- Architecting AWS cloud solutions using Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, SNS, SQS and S3
- Taking projects from requirements gathering through to deployment and ongoing support
- Working closely with frontend developers, technical stakeholders and product teams
- Creating and maintaining database structures across SQL and NoSQL environments
- Supporting CI/CD processes and deployment automation
- Solving complex technical challenges and contributing to architectural decisions
- Communicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Taking ownership of solutions and driving delivery with minimal supervision

What We're Looking For
- Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience designing and building REST APIs
- Strong AWS Serverless expertise including Lambda, API Gateway and DynamoDB
- Experience working with SQS, SNS, Step Functions and S3
- Strong SQL and NoSQL database knowledge
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
- A passion for building scalable, reliable cloud-native applications
