Join our Global Regulatory & Controls Technology team and help shape the future of regulatory reporting and compliance technology across international financial markets. You'll work at the forefront of cloud-native engineering, real-time data processing, and event-driven architecture, developing platforms that are critical to the bank's regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
This is an opportunity to engineer innovative solutions that process high-volume transaction and market data in real time, leveraging modern technologies including Kubernetes, microservices, event streaming, and cloud platforms.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, building and enhancing mission-critical regulatory technology platforms. Working within a collaborative Agile environment, you'll partner with engineers, product owners, business analysts and compliance stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that support global regulatory reporting and controls.
- Designing and developing real-time, message-driven microservices and data platforms
- Building scalable cloud-native solutions leveraging Kubernetes and modern container technologies
- Driving engineering best practices including CI/CD, automated testing and event-driven architecture
- Supporting critical regulatory reporting and compliance workflows across global markets
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues, driving continuous improvement and platform resilience
- Evaluating and adopting emerging technologies to improve performance, scalability and operational effectiveness
- Mentoring and supporting fellow engineers while fostering a collaborative, inclusive team culture

What You’ll Have:
- Strong development experience in Java, Python or similar enterprise technologies
- Experience building distributed systems, microservices and API-based architectures
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerised environments
- Knowledge of messaging and event-streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or JMS
- Strong database experience, including SQL and ideally technologies such as Oracle, Redis or Elasticsearch
- Experience with JSON, XML, Avro or similar data formats
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Location & Working Pattern
London (Hybrid Working)
We offer a flexible hybrid model combining office collaboration with remote working. Occasional out-of-hours support may be required during production releases or major incidents.
