Our Royalty and Copyright Product Team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining technical solutions that calculate artist royalty accountings, ensuring accurate and timely payments. You’ll work at the intersection of backend services, serverless architectures, event-driven systems, and scalable cloud solutions.

The Role
As a Senior Developer, you’ll architect, build, and maintain scalable cloud solutions with a focus on high-throughput, near real-time processing. Work within an agile environment, collaborating across product, data, and engineering teams to enable reliable royalty workflows.
You’ll be part of a team that: ✔ Develops software underpinned by serverless, event-driven principles. ✔ Owns CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment. ✔ Advances cloud architectures using modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Excellence
- Design and maintain backend services & APIs in .NET Core/Azure.
- Build and deploy modular web interfaces (React/TypeScript/Angular) and integrate them with APIs.
- Develop serverless architecture on AWS: Lambda, DynamoDB, Step Functions, SQS/SNS.
- Implement message brokers (Kafka MSI or AWS MSK) for real-time data processing like streaming/monitoring.
- Deploy and optimise Docker and Kubernetes workloads.
- Write secure, scalable, and performant code with theright business data optimisations across relational (PostgreSQL/etc.) and NoSQL stores.
- Work with DevOps to enforce automated pipelines, testing, and monitoring.
Collaboration & Quality
- Drive code quality: write maintainable, well-documented, and reusable code.
- Participate in tech reviews, sprints/agile ceremonies, and incident investigations.
- Mentor junior engineers and cross-train team members.
- Troubleshoot production issues, refine error-monitoring, and define SLAs with stakeholders.
- Foster strong partnerships with product/BA teams to shape requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
✅ \Core essentials
- Deep .NET Core (4+ years) experience in backend architecture.
- Hands-on AWS (5+ years), preferable with serverless (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3).
- Event-driven systems: Kafka on AWS MSK (or similar).
- DevOps basics: Git workflows, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions; Jenkins; Azure DevOps).
- Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/SQL Server) and NoSQL (DynamoDB/MongoDB).
- Be proficient with Docker & Kubernetes orchestration.
✅ Multitasking mindset
- Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban).
- Diagnose complex problems, propose solutions, and document decision-making.
- Leverage Kubernetes (EKS/GKE preferred) and modern deployment strategies.
