About the Role
Waracle are seeking a Senior React Native Developer to join their world-class digital technology consultancy, where a diverse and ambitious community tackles complex business and customer challenges. They collaborate with clients to drive innovation and develop intelligent digital products and services, delivering transformative IT projects from strategy to operations.
This is a hybrid role (2 days in-office: Glasgow or Dundee), offering flexibility to balance professional and personal life.
About the Opportunity
As a Senior React Native Developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in your squad—designing and delivering scalable, modular, and reusable features while fostering collaboration, mentorship, and technical growth.
Key responsibilities include:

Technical Excellence & Delivery:
- Design and implement end-to-end features and subsystems.
- Optimise app performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.
- Ensure accountable delivery of high-quality features.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:
- Translate technical trade-offs into clear language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Deliver confident client demos, influencing tactical direction.

Leadership & Team Collaboration:
- Lead delivery of features or workstreams.
- Mentor junior colleagues in technical skills and processes.

Job Requirements

Core Delivery Experience
- Proven ability to deliver complex digital products with deep knowledge of software engineering principles (design patterns, maintainability, security).
Mobile & Integration Tech
- Extensive experience building and delivering mobile applications using React Native and Expo.
Architecture & Testing
- Expertise in scalable solution design.
- Strong testing strategies (unit, integration, and UI layers).
API & Integration Development
- Hands-on experience with complex API consumption and real-time data flows.
Microsoft & Cloud Awareness
- Familiarity with Azure-based ecosystems and Microsoft-centric environments.
Full-Stack Mindset
- Comfort contributing across frontend and backend to drive end-to-end solutions.
Teamwork & Leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to engage with stakeholders effectively.
