Senior ServiceNow Developer - Contract or Permanent
A leading technology consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join its growing ServiceNow practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations, delivering innovative solutions for a diverse client portfolio.
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing and implementing complex ServiceNow solutions while providing technical leadership, mentoring junior developers and working closely with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions that meet complex business requirements.
- Develop custom applications, workflows and platform enhancements using ServiceNow best practices.
- Configure and customise ServiceNow modules and functionality.
- Build and support integrations between ServiceNow and third-party platforms.
- Develop server-side and client-side scripts, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes and Flow Designer.
- Troubleshoot, optimise and enhance existing ServiceNow implementations.
- Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, Project Managers and client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead technical discussions and provide mentoring and guidance to junior developers.
- Produce technical documentation and support governance and development standards.
- Stay up to date with new ServiceNow features, releases and industry best practices.

Essential Experience
- Proven commercial experience as a ServiceNow Developer is essential. Applications without ServiceNow development experience cannot be considered.
- At least 5 years' hands-on ServiceNow development experience within enterprise environments.
- Strong experience developing custom applications, workflows and platform customisations.
- Excellent JavaScript development skills within the ServiceNow platform.
- Experience with integrations using REST, SOAP or IntegrationHub.
- Strong knowledge of platform configuration, scripting and ServiceNow data structures.
- Experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies.
- Ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring developers or leading technical workstreams.
- ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD or CIS.

Highly Desirable
- Strong experience with Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and/or Integrated Risk Management (IRM).
- Experience across additional ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITAM, CMDB, Discovery or Service Catalog.
