Senior ServiceNow Developer - Contract or Permanent

A leading technology consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join its growing ServiceNow practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations, delivering innovative solutions for a diverse client portfolio.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing and implementing complex ServiceNow solutions while providing technical leadership, mentoring junior developers and working closely with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions that meet complex business requirements.
  • Develop custom applications, workflows and platform enhancements using ServiceNow best practices.
  • Configure and customise ServiceNow modules and functionality.
  • Build and support integrations between ServiceNow and third-party platforms.
  • Develop server-side and client-side scripts, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes and Flow Designer.
  • Troubleshoot, optimise and enhance existing ServiceNow implementations.
  • Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, Project Managers and client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead technical discussions and provide mentoring and guidance to junior developers.
  • Produce technical documentation and support governance and development standards.
  • Stay up to date with new ServiceNow features, releases and industry best practices.

Essential Experience

  • Proven commercial experience as a ServiceNow Developer is essential. Applications without ServiceNow development experience cannot be considered.
  • At least 5 years' hands-on ServiceNow development experience within enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience developing custom applications, workflows and platform customisations.
  • Excellent JavaScript development skills within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience with integrations using REST, SOAP or IntegrationHub.
  • Strong knowledge of platform configuration, scripting and ServiceNow data structures.
  • Experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring developers or leading technical workstreams.
  • ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD or CIS.

Highly Desirable

  • Strong experience with Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and/or Integrated Risk Management (IRM).
  • Experience across additional ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITAM, CMDB, Discovery or Service Catalog.
