Senior Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer
📍 London | Hybrid (1 day per week)
💰 £90,000–£120,000
We're partnering with a high-performance technology company that builds mission-critical, cloud-native platforms used at significant scale. They're looking for a Senior Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to help evolve their platform, improve automation, and support highly available production systems.
This is a hands-on engineering role with plenty of variety. You'll work across cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, security, and platform reliability, collaborating closely with software engineers to build scalable, resilient systems.
What you'll be doing
- Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Support containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor production systems and continuously improve reliability, performance, and observability.
- Strengthen security through effective secrets management and access controls.
- Investigate production incidents and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Work closely with engineering teams to optimise platform architecture and deployment processes.
- Mentor engineers and help shape infrastructure best practices.

What we're looking for
- Strong commercial experience with AWS.
- Excellent Linux systems administration and networking knowledge.
- Hands-on Terraform experience.
- Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash or similar).
- Experience supporting production environments and participating in incident response.
- Comfortable working across multiple areas of infrastructure and platform engineering in a collaborative environment.
