Senior DevOps Engineer
Senior/Principal DevOps/CloudOps Professional
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior/Principal DevOps/CloudOps professional to join our team and lead the design, build, and maintenance of a standardized DevOps framework. This framework will ensure the deployment of reliable, scalable, performant, and secure services in Production.
The successful candidate will work closely within the Product Squad, collaborating actively with:
- Engineering
- Product
- QA
- Service Reliability
- Information Security
- Architecture
- Production enablement
- Observability
- Service Delivery
This role is a technical hands-on position, with a 75% focus on design and a 25% focus on implementation and adoption. You will optimize and redesign existing Pipelines, incorporate best practices, and implement tools to automate deployments aligning with requirements across Development, QA & Test, Release, and Information Security. The objective is to minimize friction across teams involved in the release value chain for cloud environments. You will promote autonomy for teams to independently deploy services and workloads into production while also onboarding them onto the pipeline.

You will maintain an updated roadmap for pipeline features and upgrades, ensuring alignment with technological innovations and the product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Select the appropriate suite of tools to design, construct, and refine the CI/CD pipeline, collaborating across Global Technology.
- Onboard Product Teams onto the pipeline and iteratively enhance the process to ensure a seamless user experience for all teams.
- Enable Observability of Services within the pipeline across multiple environments.
- Design and create cloud infrastructure that is scalable, high-performing, and compliant with Information Security principles and best practices.
- Support incident response for Cloud and Infrastructure challenges and facilitate quick service restoration.
- Develop mechanisms to offer costs and resource utilization insights that are easily accessible, transparent, and detailed.
- Ensure infrastructure resources stay updated with the latest versions, enabling development teams to readily upgrade and maintain them on an ongoing basis.

Experience and Knowledge
- Subject matter expert in DevOps, Cloud Management, and FinOps
- Extensive experience working within AWS cloud environments
- Expertise in designing and building Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) frameworks
- Experience in building CI/CD pipelines from scratch and continuously improving them, particularly using GitHub
- Experience with monorepos and the ability to scale pipelines for large Engineering teams, facilitating parallel deployments
- Knowledge of configuration management, service management, and release management toolkits to enable heightened automation efforts
- Understanding of containerization and workload orchestration across various environments
- Experience with programming languages such as Bash, Python, from a Cloud and Infrastructure management perspective
- Knowledge and adherence to Information Security best practices, allowing for seamless adoption throughout the lifecycle
