Senior DevOps Engineer (Algorithmic Trading)
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Senior DevOps Engineer based in London.
This role is on a contract basis until the end of the year and requires 3 days per week onsite.
The Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Supporting and continuously improving global derivatives trading production environments.
- Proactively monitoring, troubleshooting and enhancing critical end-to-end trading workflows.
- Delivering rapid incident response while implementing long-term scalable solutions.
- Collaborating with development, infrastructure and business teams to improve platform reliability.
- Acting as a subject matter expert for trading systems and production support initiatives.
- Supporting scalable algorithmic trading technology in a compliant, resilient environment.
- Participating in a global on-call rota supporting business-critical trading systems.

The Individual
- Experience within Commodity Trading, Capital Markets or Investment Banking.
- Strong understanding of the full exchange-traded derivatives lifecycle.
- Knowledge of all major global futures exchanges.
- Extensive experience supporting front-office trading applications and vendor platforms.
- Hands-on experience supporting scalable algorithmic trading technology.
- Knowledge of market data providers including Bloomberg, Refinitiv and liquidity aggregation platforms.
- Operational experience supporting RTDS technologies including DACS, ADH and ADS.
- Experience with multicast traffic management, arbitration and message queuing.
- 5+ years' experience supporting time-series analytics technologies such as kdb+, Shakti or similar.
- Proven experience with exchange and vendor certification.
- Knowledge of EMS/OMS platforms such as TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg or TradingScreen.
- Strong understanding of TCP, multicast networking and messaging technologies.
- Experience of application deployment best practices within production environments.
- Strong scripting skills using Python, C#, SQL or similar languages.
- Understanding of the trading lifecycle, including order execution, allocation, settlement and compliance.
