Newcastle (Hybrid) Up to £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Method Resourcing are partnering with an established organisation undergoing a significant cloud transformation, and are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in shaping the next generation of its cloud platform.
About the Role
This isn’t a support-focused DevOps position. It’s an opportunity to:
- Influence cloud architecture
- Improve engineering standards
- Build scalable, automated infrastructure
- Support business-critical digital services across the UK
You would be joining a highly skilled engineering team responsible for designing, building, and continuously improving cloud infrastructure and DevOps capabilities.
Responsibilities
Your work will include:
- Designing and evolving cloud-native infrastructure
- Building and improving Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
- Driving automation across deployment pipelines and operational processes
- Improving platform reliability, resilience, and observability
- Implementing monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices
- Contributing to cloud strategy and technical roadmaps
- Collaborating closely with engineering teams to improve delivery and platform performance
- Mentoring engineers and raising technical standards across the team

Requirements
Skills & Experience
- Public cloud platforms (preference for Azure)
- Infrastructure as Code frameworks (Terraform, Bicep, or similar)
- CI/CD pipeline design and optimisation
- Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Experience with containers and cloud-native technologies
- Monitoring and observability tooling expertise
- Knowledge of DevOps best practices
- Ability to design secure, highly available cloud environments
