About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Azure cloud services to join our client's dynamic team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions that leverage artificial intelligence to combat complex cyber threats globally. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure. The position is hands-on and involves significant ownership, allowing you to influence architectural decisions and drive automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, security specialists, and system architects, to deliver robust cloud platforms capable of supporting high-demand applications and services.

This role provides a flexible working environment, with the option to work from home, and requires regular presence at the Cambridge office twice a week to foster team collaboration and participate in problem-solving sessions. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in DevOps practices within a Microsoft Azure environment, complemented by experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or AWS CloudFormation. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Node.js, or Golang is essential for automation and tooling development. Candidates should have a proven track record designing and implementing scalable, high-availability systems capable of handling substantial loads. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms is required. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are vital, along with excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within an Agile team environment. A relevant professional certification in cloud or DevOps disciplines will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Azure
- Ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of platforms
- Automating infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using IaC tools
- Developing and managing CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery
- Collaborating with development teams to optimize application deployment workflows
- Troubleshooting technical issues and implementing best practices for cloud security and compliance
- Monitoring system performance, conducting capacity planning, and implementing disaster recovery strategies
- Staying abreast of emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements to enhance platform capabilities and operational efficiency
