Senior DevOps Engineer – Digital Products Location: Reading, Berkshire (Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 days WFH)
Type: Permanent
Overview A leading global organisation in the digital products and fintech space is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the delivery and evolution of its customer-facing platforms. The business develops and operates a suite of high-traffic digital products, including web, mobile, and API-driven services used by millions of users globally. This role sits at the heart of product engineering, ensuring platforms are scalable, resilient, and continuously improving.
The Role As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in enabling the successful delivery of digital products by building and maintaining robust, automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Working closely with product engineering, security, and platform teams, you will help accelerate product delivery, improve system reliability, and enhance the overall user experience through modern DevOps practices. This role will suit someone passionate about product-driven engineering, platform scalability, and continuous innovation.

Key Responsibilities Support the build, deployment, and operation of customer-facing digital products Design and manage scalable infrastructure across cloud and containerised environments (AWS, Kubernetes, VMware) Enable fast, reliable product delivery through CI/CD pipelines Partner with product teams to improve system performance, reliability, and availability Implement self-service tooling to empower development teams Drive DevOps best practices across the digital product lifecycle Develop and enhance monitoring, observability, and incident response processes Support global engineering teams delivering high-traffic platforms Key Requirements Proven experience supporting digital product delivery in a DevOps or platform engineering role Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated release processes Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or similar) Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred) Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, APM tools) Solid understanding of system performance, scalability, and resilience Strong collaboration and communication skills within cross-functional product teams Desirable: Experience working on large-scale, customer-facing digital platforms or APIs Background in fintech, SaaS, or high-growth digital product environments What’s on Offer Competitive salary with discretionary bonus Hybrid working (2 days onsite, 3 remote) Generous annual leave, increasing with service Why Apply?
