An exciting opportunity for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer has arisen with a leading mission-critical telecommunications company, based in London.

The right to work in the UK without sponsorship is essential for this vacancy. Eligibility for SC clearance is also required.

Hybrid role – 3 days per week in the London office.

This is a senior, hands-on engineering role requiring an experienced DevSecOps and platform engineer who has operated complex systems in production.

You will personally design, build, secure, deploy, and operate mission-critical systems where downtime, misconfiguration, or security failures have real-world consequences.

This Role Will Involve

Security & DevSecOps

  • Apply OS, container, and application hardening aligned with UK security standards.
  • Actively operate SELinux in enforcing mode.
  • Integrate SAST, dependency scanning, and image scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation.

Core Platform

  • Build and operate hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux platforms across geo-redundant datacentres.
  • Automate infrastructure using Ansible, Bash, and Python at scale.
  • Design and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines well beyond template configuration.
  • Operate Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms, including security, networking, and failure recovery.
  • Run Pacemaker/Corosync clusters and diagnose split-brain, fencing, and quorum issues.
  • Configure HAProxy in active/active and active/passive configurations.
  • Design platform-level routing using BGP/BFD (FRR or equivalent).
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs in Go and Python used in live systems.

Key Skills/experience Required

  • In-depth commercial expertise in a production DevSecOps / DevOps / Platform role.
  • Strong, demonstrable Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience.
  • Production Go and Python backend development.
  • Kubernetes or OpenShift operational responsibility.
  • Experience in regulated, audited, or mission-critical environments.
