Senior Digital Marketing Executive
£35,000 salary
Haydock, Merseyside
Monday–Friday, 9am–5.15pm, 36.25 hours per week
The role
Contribute to the business goals by managing and executing digital marketing strategies that enhance online presence, drive traffic, generate leads, and promote key digital products such as the Merchant Mobile App. This role will focus on website performance, SEO, content creation, paid media and digital campaigns that strengthen brand reputation and deliver measurable commercial results.
The responsibilities

Website Strategy & Management
- Lead the strategy and execution for the company’s websites, ensuring they are optimised for performance, user experience, and lead generation.
- Create compelling, SEO-friendly content that drives traffic and organic leads.
- Continuously improve the Handepay website to maximise engagement and conversion.

SEO & Content Marketing
- Implement effective SEO tactics to increase visibility and rankings across search engines.
- Develop and publish high-quality content that supports traffic growth and brand positioning.

Paid Campaigns
- Lead, execute and optimise paid media campaigns across relevant digital channels to drive lead generation, maximise return on investment, and support business growth. Manage campaign performance, budgets, testing and reporting to continually improve results.

Merchant Mobile App Promotion
- Manage the marketing strategy and execution for promoting the Mobile App.
- Drive downloads and usage by highlighting app features and benefits to merchants through targeted campaigns.

Social Media Management
- Support the strategy and execution of social media channels to build brand awareness, strengthen reputation, and generate leads.
- Work closely with the Brand and Creative Manager to ensure consistent brand positioning across all digital platforms.

Reporting & Analysis
- Provide regular reporting on digital marketing performance, including website analytics, SEO results, and campaign effectiveness, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
About you
We're looking for someone who is passionate about digital marketing and genuinely excited by the opportunity to make an impact. You're a self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what to do – you spot opportunities, bring ideas to the table, and take ownership of delivering results.
- You'll be commercially minded, data-driven and comfortable balancing creativity with performance. Whether it's improving website conversions, identifying SEO opportunities, creating engaging content or optimising paid campaigns, you thrive on finding ways to drive growth.
- You'll be curious, proactive and always looking to learn, test and improve. Most importantly, you'll bring energy, ambition and a desire to continually raise the bar.
You'll likely have:
- Strong experience in digital marketing, including SEO, content marketing and website optimisation.
- Hands-on experience managing and optimising paid media campaigns (Google Ads, PPC, paid social or other lead generation channels).
- A track record of delivering measurable improvements in traffic, leads and conversion rates.
- Excellent analytical skills and confidence using data to make recommendations.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to challenge ideas and suggest better ways of doing things.
- Great communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

This is a permanent, full-time role
Our contracted working hours are 36.25 per week Monday to Friday 9am-5.15pm.
The role requires 3-4 days a week in the Haydock office, with flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week.
