Senior Digital Marketing Specialist - Direct-to-Consumer Growth Strategy

Our client is a well-known multinational player in the beauty & healthcare sectors, managing much loved brands spanning haircare, oral care and personal healthcare across Europe, and actively accelerating direct-to-consumer sales and expanding into social commerce and third-party marketplaces across Europe. 🔦 Position Overview Now seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to lead its DTC growth strategy and drive expansion across digital channels. This is a high-visibility, strategic role where where you'll own the end-to-end DTC growth agenda across European markets. You'll drive revenue through Shopify optimisation, performance marketing strategy, CRM lifecycle initiatives, and multi-channel expansion. Your work directly influences commercial priorities, customer experience, and profitability. You'll lead agency partners, shape annual planning cycles with brand teams, and report performance insights to senior leadership, making this a high-visibility position with clear accountability for DTC results.

📒 What you’ll be doing from Day 1 Leading the annual DTC planning cycle partnering with brand teams, defining investment priorities and shaping strategic direction across European markets Developing compelling business cases for DTC growth initiatives, clearly articulating expected returns, resource requirements, and delivery timelines Launching and managing DTC-enabled channels including social commerce and third-party marketplaces, owning strategy and performance through agency-led execution Leading performance marketing strategy and budgets, applying test-and-learn approaches whilst ensuring strong governance, pacing and ROI accountability Developing CRM strategy including customer segmentation and journey priorities, briefing agencies to drive retention and lifetime value Optimising the Shopify transactional website, setting roadmap priorities and translating requirements into agency briefs to improve site performance and conversion rates Leading analytics and performance reporting in partnership with the business intelligence team, translating data into actionable prioritisation insights Ensuring all DTC plans, comms and customer journeys remain on-brand and aligned to commercial priorities across markets Supporting brand teams with website optimisation projects, coordinating agency delivery and maintaining high service levels Partnering with the sales team on weekly trading cadence, ensuring DTC execution supports commercial priorities and customer experience Managing cross-functional collaboration across European marketing, sales, finance, IT and operations, and oversee external agency performance

🌟What we are looking for Minimum 5 years managing DTC marketing, ideally within FMCG or consumer goods environments Proven experience creating strategic DTC marketing plans within multi-channel organisation Expertise in DTC performance drivers including SEO, conversion rate optimisation, paid media and affiliate marketing Hands-on experience with Google Ads and managing agency partners effectively Experience overseeing Shopify (or equivalent DTC platform) for transactional ecommerce and WordPress (or equivalent) for brand websites Successful management of leading multiple agency partners through clear briefing, prioritisation and performance management Experience with CRM and lifecycle marketing tools, ideally Klaviyo, with understanding of retention and customer communications best practices Proficiency with Power BI (or equivalent) reporting alongside GA4 and measurement tools Familiarity with industry-standard ecommerce and digital marketing tools including tag management, experimentation and CRO tooling Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong commercial acumen Proven stakeholder management skills with ability to influence across functions Comfortable managing and optimising multiple websites to maximise conversions Organised and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
