This role is responsible for the strategic development, management, and implementation of the digital and social strategy across all areas of STUDIOCANAL in the UK. At the core of this role is the maintenance of a strong and engaging online presence for the brand, our dedicated film channels, and our external digital communications, in order to promote our films and other content throughout the life-cycle.
Responsibilities
- Management of all Studiocanal UK digital channels, including audience development and editorial strategy
- Working with the theatrical and home entertainment teams to set and oversee the paid and organic digital strategy for all new release film campaigns
- Management of any agency commissioned to deliver on our digital activations, including community management, social sentiment reporting and influencer activity
- Develop and maintain relationships with leading digital platforms (e.g. Google, Meta, TikTok) to ensure we have their support and are up to date on developments across each
- In collaboration with campaign managers, monitoring of the performance of the paid digital campaigns delivered by our media agency
- Monitoring (directly or via relevant agencies) social sentiment for all new releases and reporting back to wider teams and relevant stakeholders
- In liaison with wider team, determine the phasing and cadence of key asset launches such as trailers, posters, clips etc
- Leading on engagement with influencers on a campaign-by-campaign basis for new releases
- Regular liaison and interaction with the International marketing team (in London and Paris) to ensure we are aligning on wider strategy
- Regular liaison with Publicity teams to ensure all key consumer and trade announcements are communicated via our digital channels
- In collaboration with Catalogue teams, development and maintenance of editorial strategy for our YouTube channel, including the commissioning of bespoke content for the channel
- Providing strategic guidance to teams on delivery, copywriting, tone and relevant trends in order to deliver effective, engaging campaigns
- Local contact for the maintenance of the Studiocanal website in the UK

- Minimum 3 years experience of managing social and digital channels within the entertainment industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable expertise in writing clear, engaging social copy
- Strong knowledge of and passion for film
- Knowledgeable, forward-thinking and innovative with regards to developments within the digital sphere, including AI
- Prior experience in delivering CRM, SEO and GEO strategies is preferred
