Lead the future of digital medicines at HDFT
Are you an experienced clinical (Nursing) or pharmacy professional (Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician) with a passion for digital transformation, medicines safety and improving patient care?
This is an exciting opportunity to join Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust as our Senior Digital Medicines Lead – EPMA, supporting the implementation of NerveCentre EPMA as part of the Trust’s strategic implementation of the wider NerveCentre Electronic Patient Record.
This high-profile role will put you at the heart of a major Trust-wide digital transformation programme. You will help shape how electronic prescribing and medicines administration is designed, implemented, embedded and optimised across inpatient, outpatient and day-case settings.
We are looking for a credible, motivated and forward-thinking individual who can bring together clinical insight, medicines governance, digital knowledge and strong leadership skills to support safe, effective and user-centred digital medicines workflows.
- Lead and coordinate agreed workstreams for the implementation, upgrade and optimisation of NerveCentre EPMA.
- Provide specialist digital medicines, clinical informatics and medicines governance leadership.
- Support safe system configuration, testing, validation, clinical sign-off and optimisation.
- Translate clinical and operational requirements into effective digital workflows and standard operating processes.
- Support clinical safety assurance, risk identification, mitigation and escalation.
- Use audit findings, incident trends, user feedback and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Chair and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, working groups and project discussions.
- Develop and deliver training, guidance and communication materials for clinical, pharmacy, technical and operational users.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacy, medical, nursing, AHP, IT, informatics, operational and supplier teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
