Quest Search & Selection is partnering with a leading multi-channel retail business that is investing heavily in its digital growth strategy. As the business continues to evolve its online offering, they are looking for a commercially minded Digital Trading Manager to own the online trading strategy, optimise the customer journey, and drive revenue growth across their eCommerce platform.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the digital trading function, working cross-functionally to deliver an exceptional online experience while achieving ambitious commercial targets.
The Role
We are looking for a commercially focused Senior Digital Trading Manager to take ownership of website trading performance, customer journey optimisation, and digital merchandising strategy.
Working closely with Marketing, Buying & Merchandising, UX, Technology, and Finance teams, you'll use data and customer insights to maximise online sales, improve conversion, and deliver a best-in-class shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Owning the day-to-day trading performance of the eCommerce website, ensuring sales and profit targets are achieved
- Developing and executing the digital trading calendar, including promotional campaigns and seasonal events
- Monitoring key commercial KPIs including revenue, conversion rate, AOV and customer engagement
- Optimising the online customer journey through data analysis, UX improvements, and A/B testing
- Managing product merchandising, category navigation, taxonomy, and onsite search to maximise conversion
- Producing trading reports, forecasts, and actionable insights to identify commercial opportunities and risks
- Collaborating with Buying & Merchandising teams to ensure stock availability, product launches, and trading priorities are aligned
- Working closely with Marketing to ensure campaigns, promotions, and launches are executed seamlessly across digital channels
- Monitoring competitor activity, customer trends, and market performance to continually improve trading strategy
- Leading day-to-day site operations while ensuring pricing, content, and promotional activity remain accurate and compliant
- Supporting and developing junior team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture

The Person
We're looking for a commercially driven Digital Trading professional who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and has a passion for delivering outstanding online customer experiences.
You will bring:
- Proven experience within Digital Trading, eCommerce Trading, or Online Merchandising for a retail or consumer brand
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of delivering online sales growth
- Experience managing trading calendars, promotional campaigns, and onsite merchandising
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Contentsquare, or similar platforms
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into commercial actions
- Experience improving customer journeys through CRO, UX optimisation, and A/B testing
- Knowledge of CMS platforms and eCommerce merchandising best practice
- Excellent forecasting, reporting, and commercial planning experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across Marketing, Buying, UX, Technology, and Finance teams
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
