Job Description

This global media giant and provider of business information services has over 25,000 employees across 70 counties worldwide. With five distinct divisions and a market leading position in two it is keen to identify a tax trained professional with direct tax experience and an interest in tax technology.

With a focus on two particular direct tax software products, you will collaborate on direct tax compliance projects with a focus on Europe. Furthermore, you will support stakeholders with the correct application and of direct tax and statutory reporting technology when multiple jurisdictions are involved.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provision of direct tax expertise to a wide variety of stakeholders across Europe
  • Demonstration of direct tax technology solutions to multinational customers
  • Actively identify tax process issues and support the development of solutions
  • Management of stakeholders on multi-disciplinary tax technology projects
  • Explain related issues/problems and solutions to non-tax & technical staff
  • Deliver standardized and proven processes, methods, techniques and approaches
  • Responsible for drawing on the appropriate skills in the areas of direct tax compliance, business processes, and business operations throughout the process.
  • Be an advocate for direct tax technology solutions across Europe
  • Responsible for producing and maintaining demo data to present different use cases
  • Work with commercial teams on activities including white papers, webinars, events and conferences to drive new opportunities.
  • Work closely with product development teams to identify industry trends, evaluate capability enhancements and validate business cases for future development.

  • Proven direct tax generalist with some international exposure
  • Big 4 trained (or top 10 firm) with additional in-house exposure
  • Project management, IT aptitude, spread sheet and analytical skills
  • In depth experience of working with large complex clients
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving system issues
  • Need to have a background in direct tax compliance, tax reporting or statutory reporting
  • Experience with ONESOURCE tax software and or ERP systems (ideally SAP)
