Senior Director, Data and Information Marketplace We're building a connected, end-to-end Enterprise AI engine - uniting data foundations, AI technology, process reinvention, and business-facing AI to accelerate results across the whole value chain. Success depends on being exceptional connectors: you'll actively harness existing capabilities, celebrate and promote reuse, export breakthrough ideas across geographies and functions, and obsess over scaling impact rather than building in isolation. If you thrive in high-collaboration environments where your role is to turn sophisticated, cross-functional problems into reusable, enterprise-wide capabilities - and where the measure of success is adoption and scale, not just innovation - you'll have the platform (and sponsorship) to make it real! Introduction to role The Senior Director, Data and Information Marketplace provides strategic leadership for the capabilities, products and governance needed to help humans and intelligent agents discover, share, understand and use data and information quickly, easily and compliantly. This role shapes an integrated Data & Information Marketplace that improves the consumption experience across the enterprise, increases confidence in data and information assets, and ensures they are accessible, transparent, governed and valuable throughout their lifecycle. It ensures that data and information can be used with trust and efficiency, supports responsible and scalable reuse, and drives adoption of product-based capabilities and tooling that enhance enterprise productivity, compliance and decision-making. Accountabilities Lead the vision for a unified Data & Information Marketplace that transforms how data and information are discovered, accessed and reused across the organisation. Define a clear strategy and roadmap that aligns marketplace outcomes with enterprise data, AI and business priorities, setting measurable goals and operating models that drive impact. Oversee product ownership for marketplace capabilities and tooling, ensuring intuitive experiences for both people and agents across discovery, access, sharing, understanding and use. Advise the development of capabilities for data access, lineage, observability and quality so that data assets are transparent, trusted and usable at scale. Shape enterprise approaches to data, information and knowledge lifecycle management, embedding governance for retention, stewardship, reuse, archival and disposal to maximise value while maintaining compliance. Champion new ways of managing unstructured information to improve discoverability, control and responsible use beyond traditional structured domains. Embed robust governance and control frameworks across marketplace services, aligned with legal, privacy, security and risk standards. Drive financial transparency and optimisation for marketplace platforms and services through FinOps practices that improve cost visibility, value realisation and sustainable scaling. Influence senior leaders across business, data, digital, security and compliance functions to secure adoption, prioritisation and continuous improvement of marketplace capabilities and ways of working. Ready to shape how data powers digital healthcare? Essential Skills/Experience • 10+ years enterprise level leadership experience in data governance, data management, information management or enterprise data platforms, with accountability for global strategy and delivery. • Experience in user experience design and evidence of translating this into easy, coherent, seamless experiences that are widely adopted by users and machines across multiple enterprise business units. • Deep expertise in relevant capability areas, including data quality, observability, lineage, access management, lifecycle management and information governance. • Measurable evidence of optimising the data P&L across covering cost/FinOps, value realisation and sustainability. • Proven experience in product management and product ownership for enterprise data or information capabilities, including tooling, user experience and adoption at scale. • Innovates, experiments and brings external perspectives, with a track record of applying frontier technologies and approaches to increase speed, quality and compliance of data. • Strong collaboration skills and evidence of success in an enterprise-scale federated ownership and delivery model, recognising when to build on the work and skills of others, and when to do themselves. • Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity and influence senior partners across functions, driving enterprise alignment, decisions and enterprise change in a global environment. • Strong communication, strategic planning and execution skills, with a track record of defining measurable outcomes, prioritising investments and delivering business value through data and information capabilities. Desirable Skills/Experience • Experience leading large-scale data marketplaces or catalogues in highly regulated industries. • Background in applying AI/ML to metadata management, knowledge graphs or intelligent search. • Track record of building data products that directly enable scientific or clinical decision-making. • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, modern data platforms and automation for data operations. • Evidence of building high-performing global teams that blend engineering, product and governance skills. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
