The Distribution & Business Development team, UK & Ireland sits within the TV & Media division of Paramount SkyDance globally and is responsible for maximising the distribution of Paramount’s channels, brands and IP across the territories, within a strong and sustainable commercial framework that prioritises partner and audience needs.
The role spans distribution across a wide range of platforms and segments including, but not limited to:
- Linear TV channel distribution: Free & Pay TV linear channels including Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., MTV, Comedy Central, 5, 5 USA, 5 Star, 5 Select and others
- Video On Demand: VOD distribution including SVOD, AVOD and BVOD to all major platforms
- Streaming: Primarily the distribution of the 5 Streaming service (formerly My5) across the UK, including carriage agreements, client management and driving continuous product evolution aligned with industry best practice and partner expectations
- FAST and other IP Distribution: FAST channels (inbound and outbound) and AVOD partnerships (currently inbound only) with select partners
- Industry Bodies and Joint Ventures: Supporting the executive team in overseeing and evolving partnerships across industry groups, invested operations and joint ventures, including Everyone TV (ETV), AMC JV, Comedy Central JV and others
We partner with a broad range of UK and Ireland platforms, including traditional Pay TV operators (Sky, VMO2, Eir, Vodafone Ireland); Connected TV platforms (Samsung, LG, VIDAA); and Streaming platforms (Roku, Freely, Amazon Fire TV, Apple), among others.
We collaborate closely across Paramount to ensure a coordinated and effective operation; however, this role will not ordinarily include direct responsibility for Paramount+ or Pluto.
Reporting to the VP, Distribution, you will lead best‑in‑class client management to strengthen partnerships, unlock commercial value, and deliver audience growth across our portfolio.
You will, in collaboration with the VP, Distribution and key stakeholders, shape and deliver distribution strategies—structuring, negotiating, and executing partnerships—while proactively identifying new growth opportunities and enhancements.
You will maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics and partner priorities, enabling you to inform strategic decisions, lead reviews, and drive new business development across partners and territories.
What will you be doing?
- Identify, engage and build relationships with new partners and emerging opportunities
- Grow and develop existing accounts through thoughtful relationship management and commercially minded innovation, including maintaining account plans and regular engagement
- Work collaboratively with Paramount teams to successfully launch products, deliver partnerships, develop new propositions, and address partner needs and challenges
- Deliver the UK partnerships strategy by developing and presenting high‑impact proposals, structuring and negotiating agreements, and supporting successful launches
- Own the commercial management of key partnerships, including planning and leading Quarterly Business Reviews with senior stakeholders
- Anticipate and address partnership challenges, working cross‑functionally to deliver effective solutions
- In partnership with the VP, Distribution, define and track meaningful success metrics across partnerships and deals
- Provide commercially focused insight informed by market, competitive and performance analysis
- Analyse industry data to inform strategy and identify opportunities for growth and optimisation
- Operate within a collaborative, matrixed environment, where you will guide, support and help develop colleagues across the broader team when required
- Champion the ‘One Paramount’ approach, enabling collaboration and shared success
- Represent Paramount’s brands, channels and IP with credibility internally and externally
- Support and promote a culture of inclusion aligned with Paramount values

What are we looking for?
What skills do you need?
- Proven experience within TV and Media distribution or a closely related sector
- Demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate opportunities, analyse partnerships, and recommend commercially effective deal structures
- Strong track record of structuring and closing complex agreements in collaboration with legal teams, across a range of commercial and financial terms
- Experience working closely with legal and executive stakeholders, with clear understanding of commercial frameworks and deal implications
- Practical experience partnering with clients to launch products and build relationships that deliver sustained growth and value
- Experience ensuring the effective implementation and ongoing optimisation of agreements to maximise outcomes
- Established relationships within media companies in the UK & Ireland are beneficial; however, the ability to build and develop high‑value professional networks is equally important
- Strong understanding of traditional and emerging media, with curiosity for industry developments and change
- Experience across linear TV, VOD, FAST or app distribution
- Able to work independently while remaining highly collaborative within a wider team environment
- Focused on delivering results while contributing to broader team objectives
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast‑moving environment
- Highly collaborative, with experience in matrixed environments, and able to coordinate and influence teams without direct authority, while communicating clearly and escalating risks appropriately
Person Specification:
- 8+ years of experience in media (entertainment and/or content‑focused businesses) or related strategy roles within consulting
- 5+ years of combined distribution and business development experience (both advantageous)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance research, analysis and data interpretation, while maintaining accuracy and reliability
- Demonstrated expertise in deal structuring, negotiation and delivery, supported by analytical insight to achieve strong commercial outcomes
- Ability to apply industry knowledge to develop opportunities and communicate them clearly and effectively to senior stakeholders
- Strong project management capability, with a proactive, accountable and detail‑focused approach to delivery
