The Team
A&M has had a specialised team in the UK advising on executive compensation since 2020. The team is led by three highly experienced practitioners and supports a broad range of companies and their remuneration committees in developing and implementing remuneration arrangements that are aligned with their strategies, cultures, and stakeholders. The team currently advises around 10% of the FTSE 100, with a number of clients in the FTSE 250, Small Cap, as well as private companies. Our approach and culture are open, collaborative, and meritocratic.
The Executive Compensation team sits within the People Services section of A&M Tax alongside three other teams: People, Reward and Performance, Equity Reward and Employment Taxes.
A&M Tax is an independent tax group free from audit-based conflicts of interest and with offices in major markets throughout EMEA, the U.S., Asia and Australia.
Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Director to play a leading role in the continued growth of our executive compensation practice.
What Will You Be Doing?
As a Senior Director, you will:
Provide main support to the Partners in their role as trusted independent advisor to some of our largest clients Lead client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to Remuneration Committees, senior executives, and boards across our medium and smaller sized clients (typically outside of the FTSE 100) Originate and drive business development, identifying opportunities, leading proposals, and contributing to the overall growth strategy of the practice Oversee multiple engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and commercial delivery while maintaining strong client satisfaction Play a key role in practice leadership, contributing to strategic direction, service innovation, and market positioning Lead, develop, and mentor teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture Engage with external stakeholders, including institutional investors and proxy advisors, providing insight into evolving governance and market expectations Drive thought leadership and market presence, including publishing insights, speaking at events, and enhancing A&M’s reputation in executive compensation Ensure technical excellence, bringing deep expertise across executive pay design, governance, and regulatory developments

An ambitious individual looking to become a partner in the next two to five years Extensive experience in executive compensation advisory, ideally within professional services or a specialist consultancy Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in business development and client leadership Demonstrated ability to lead complex client engagements and senior stakeholder relationships A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing talent
