Senior Director of Global Power Origination & Market Development at Oklo

We are searching for a ** Senior Director of Global Power Origination & Market Development ** to join our team. This role is perfectly aligned with the visionary and high-impact nature of Oklo.

Position Description

Oklo is seeking a highly strategic, commercially minded, and globally oriented leader to help shape where and how advanced nuclear power can be deployed worldwide. The Senior Director, Global Power Origination & Market Development will focus on Oklo’s exploration and evaluation of global market opportunities, strategic partnerships, infrastructure ecosystems, government initiatives, and commercial pathways for advanced nuclear deployment.

This is an intentionally broad, strategic and commercially oriented role. The ideal candidate will identify emerging opportunities, assess market structures, build key strategic relationships, and build commercial frameworks, all while operating in an atmosphere of complexity and striding wholly forward into entirely new market opportunities.

The role will hinge at the intersection of global energy markets, infrastructure strategy, commercial origination, government affairs, industrial development, and long-term corporate strategy. Operate as a commercially savvy orchestrator, ensuring multiple initiatives fall into place in a fashion that maximises Oklo’s competitive advantage worldwide.

The position has significant international travel in mind. We are only considering candidates based in the Netherlands or United Kingdom.


Specific Responsibilities

Global Market Development & Opportunity Exploration

Identify and evaluate emerging market opportunities across:

  • North America

  • Europe

  • Middle East

  • Asia-Pacific

  • Latin America

  • Strategic industrial regions globally

  • Analyze global electricity market dynamics, industrial growth trends, energy security initiatives, and infrastructure investment patterns.

  • Help determine where advanced nuclear can integrate smoothly into evolving systems, inclusive of **industrial ecosystems and critical infrastructure networks.

  • Evaluate market structures, regulatory environments, energy pricing frameworks, and deployment barriers across international jurisdictions while emphasizing areas with the highest infrastructure and commercial value.

Strategic Origination & Commercial Structuring

Build and maintain external relationships with:

  • Utilities and grid operators
  • Hyperscalers and data center developers
  • Industrial energy users
  • Infrastructure developers
  • Strategic investors
  • Governments and ministries
  • Sovereign wealth funds
  • Energy and infrastructure partners

Originate and structure strategic partnerships that accelerate deployment, encompassing:

  • Strategic cooperation agreements
  • Joint development agreements
  • Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
  • Power purchase framework concepts
  • Long-term energy supply agreements
  • Infrastructure and co-development partnerships
  • Public-private partnership constructs

Craft creative commercial frameworks aligning Oklo’s core expertise with customer goals, government mandates, and infrastructure partnerships. Execute complex deal structures in partnership with legal, financial, commercial, and leadership teams.

Analyze:

  • Infrastructure ecosystems and supply chain capabilities vital for advanced nuclear deployment.
  • Strategic manufacturing, construction, logistics, and fuel-cycle partnerships.

Addressing deployment obstacles and potential bottlenecks globally. Assess long-term localization opportunities and considerations for infrastructural scalability.

Corporate Strategy & Executive Advisory

Serve the leadership advisory position on:

  • Emerging global energy market opportunities and infrastructure trends.
  • Strategic insights across:
    • Where Oklo should deploy.
    • Which markets are becoming attractive.
    • Essential gameplay roles.
    • How evolving energy markets are shaping the world would affect infrastructure constraints.

Succinct insights on commercial advancements for accelerated deployment. Contribute to long-term market positioning future-proofing Oklo’s global commercialisation strategy.


Qualifications & Competencies

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10–20+ years of diverse experience across:

    • Global energy markets
    • Power origination
    • Infrastructure development
    • Strategic partnerships, energy strategies
    • Government affairs
    • Infrastructure finance and industrial development
  • Strong background in global power/policy systems, contemporary infrastructure dynamics, able to grant nuanced competitive analyses.

  • Experience evaluating and building upon large-scale commercial, regulatory, and geopolitical scenarios.

  • Adept engages with emerging markets on a high-ambitiality level.

  • Fractions knowledge on power origination, energy contracting, infrastructure partnerships, utility or industrial procurement models.

  • Ability to synthesise fragmented market information to definitive strategic insights and commercially viable deployment models.

About Oklo

**Salary: $200,000 - $265,000
